Charlene & I planned the night earlier to head to the sale after seeing the FB post from Shiseido Singapore. She was excited for the Shiseido Skincare range and I, the Nars sale. It is the first NARS sale in Singapore since they've launched.

We queud a good 1 hour before the sale and they were about 06 girls in front of us. Once the door was opened, we were all ready to head in. The first stop I went to was the NARS counter. People were charging the Cle de Peau Beaute counter since they have good great deals. Saving $500 for a set of skincare range is really no joke. Anyways, my total damaged was $130 and I only got 04 items. Compared to Estee Lauder's sale which I went last April,I did get more quantity from the sale at the same price.

Also if I may add, Shiseido should see how Estee Lauder handles and run their sale. It is much more organized, prices are stated clearly to avoid having the people behind the counters to answer to everyone screaming and yelling on how much the products are. Also, its better to have sign and display of the products according to categories so that it is much more organized and people dont go frantics. I went to 04 Estee Lauder sale and so far, in terms of product knowledge, prices ranges and product handling, went very smooth and was very organized. Just my 2 cents.

On to my haul!

I saw a couple of duo eyeshadows and nail polishes but these products caught my attention. I always have my NARS wishlist with me and the two main products are the Casino Bronzer and Galapagos eyeshadow. I swatched it and fell in love. So without knowing the price (Which does not happen very often,  me being disillusional) I took them and put them in my plastic bag. I have always been a fan of bright lipsticks, so you can bet I helped myself with the lipstick!

Then, I always wanted to try this but never get to buy it because it cost just too darn much. And so, knowing it was only $50 a bottle, I bought one. I know I should have bought two...or three... haha! Silly me. Oh wells, it was a happy buy!

Who would ever thought, another sale was waiting for me....

On to my Watson Haul. I bought mostly essential products but I am excited for the make up stuffs though! Lets scroll down shall we?

Spot on! Start right smack with the cosmetic products! These products have 25% discounts on them and hence I enjoyed greater savings!

These are the products I bought:

- Maybelline Volume Express Mascara Cat Eyes
- Revlon Photoready BB cream in 003 Medium
- Maybelline Fashion Brow Mascara in Brown
- ZA Eyebrow pencil in Natural Brown
- Maybelline Watershine in P22

My skin is rather dry nowadays despite the humid weather. I thought I would try this cute packs and see how it works and hopefully my skin gets more supple and less dull due to all the dry skin!

Here are the swatches!
Casino Bronzer

Maybelline Watershine Lipstick in P22

NARS Funny Faces Lipstick

4 new shades of Revlin lip butters released!
This might come off really late. Many bloggers must have mentioned about the updates but i recently just saw it at watson store and i was thrilled to find tutti fruiti! Its the coral- orange shade that i adore so much. So i bought it immediately. I love how the lipsticks are sheer almost stain like but still pigmented. They do however dry my lips up at the end of the day. Initial part to it, it definitely gave me a moisturised "senaation". Haha! Its true though! The new shades released are sugarfrosting, sweet tart, tutti fruitti and berry smoothie. They are priced at $15.90 each. Did you buy any of them? How do you like it then?

Review: Revlon Photoready Concealer

CONCEALER! Who doesn't love concealer?! they do wonders huh! I want to do a review on my highly raved and love concealer from Revlon. It is inexpensive and I had both my sisters buying and stocking this up while one of them were in Singapore. It is priced at $19.90. Get it while Watson has 20% off. Its worth while.

Product info:

All over face concealer helps erase imperfections and camouflage dark undereye circles

Full yet undetectable coverage

Photochromatic pigments bend, reflect and diffuse light

SPF 20My Experience:

The concealer which has SPF does help however products with SPF do tend to give you the white cast when taking photos with flash. This concealer does not do that at all. Thats why im in love. The concealer has an amazing creamy texture and consistency to it which makes application alot easier. It does not seem to melt easily which happens to other concealer of mine. All i did was draw my under eye lightly, and blend it out with my ring finger. And vouila! Once i set it with powder, it just looked perfect!

I took this photo when i was in Yogyakarta last Apr/ May and heres what i meant by perfection of concealer. I always loved how concealer made my face alot fresher and more glowy.

If you want to see the breakdown of the before and after. Here you go! The coverage is from medium to full. It depends on how much product you apply and how many layers you put on. It blends really well and it does caked up nor settles on my lines at the end of the day. However the only con is that, it last a good 8-10 hours. Right after that, you could somewhat see your under eye appearing again. :( But other than that, i pretty much love this. its really easy to apply either you are at home or travelling. Loves the stick concept.

Overall Ratings:

I definitely recommend this to ladies who just started make up or for people who loed a full coverage concealer.

Thanks for reading!

I have heard my colleagues talking about the Watson sale that wednesday and preparing their wishlist. I did not even bother because well apparently i was a little too busy that day. But guess what. I went to Jurong point's Watson the day after and still find that the items ar eon discounts! So didnt went too crazy but really wanted these two items that I have been eyeing on. Since it was discounted why not. Here are the glimpse of the 3 products that i got. These are photos taken with my iphone 4. Not bad huh! Been a bad blogger lately. Too busy that I got lazy wanting to tak eout my dslr from the dry box. Anyway, you can definitely guess what my favourite drugstore brand ever. Revlon.Enough said, I got the concealer which i heard many raved upon. The photoready concealer in Medium Deep. So much for following Mac huh Revlon?! Let me guess your next darkest tone in the making- MEDIUM DARK?! haha! It is priced at $19.90 and so i got it for $15.12. This is the darkest shade amogst the 04 shades that were offered.
Below, is the lipstick i have been wanting. Something nude but with a touch of coral. Like as if i dont have enough of these. This is the Revlon Matte lipstick in Smoked Peach. It is priced at $16.90 each and i got it for $12.84. I love the colour but somehow the consistency is not so fantastic. I will elaborate more soon when i do a review on it.So below are the swatches! This is how it looked like on my lips. The formula is rather drying which my lip lines can be seen. Hmmm i need to find ways to use this wisely.NOT FORGETTING! Since i got my highlights last week, I have noticed dryness on my hair because obviously the highlight colour in blonde will look like you have dry and damage hair but it isn't the case.

I wanted to give this colourful bottle of goodness a try because it smells oh so good!Smooth lovin huh! Lets see how this turns out!

On a side note, I wanted to get the new pearl liquid foundation from ZA but huh as usual when the word "pearl" exist on an Asian foundation brand, you can never find a shade for olive or tan or dark skintone. So i say, "FERGET ABOUT IT~".

What did you get from the Watson sale? Share with me here! I will be turning back to blogging for a while and have a vacation from Youtube.

Thanks for reading loves!

Review: Revlon Lip Butters (Featuring Strawberry Shortcake & Lollipop)

By adorebeauty06 · March 18, 2012

Initially I had a typo error. So now, OBVIOUSLY I covered up. haha! So here it is two of the lip butters which i got. They are $15.90 and you can get them at any drugstores like Watson and Guardian or John little and more. They did not bring many colours in though but lets pray they do. Here are the lip swatches.

My Experience:

Lets start with the packaging. Its uber cute! I like how the shade of the cover is similar to the colour of the lipsticks offered. It looked really chic! The formula of the lipsticks are amazing. Not many would agree to this, however speaking from a person who has to deal with chapped lips at the end of the day, this lipstick actually help to cover those flaky lips which would not be removed without water. It actually keeps my lips rather moist. Maybe due to its wet formula. But the colour came right off. It is really pigmented. When you apply this on, don't bother layering it with a lipgloss because it is already shiny.  My favourite colour gotta be Lollipop.
I have even swatched it amongst two of my limited edition MAC lipstick. And i have to tell you, it is almost close to Quick Sizzle. It does however have a richer blue undertone to it. But at least you can have something similar should you not be able to get quick sizzle. The lip butter like many other, have a wet finish.
Above are the swatches that are close to Strawberry Shortcake. Alongside with Pink Nouveau from Mac, Strawberry Shortcake has a tinge of blue tone which in return make me look darker. It does not really compliments me that well but oh well. Its nice to layer it on top of pink nouveau.

This is my FACE SWATCH with Lollipop on my lips :)

These lip butters are not scented, glides easily on my lips and offers a great range of colours. They do not last more than 5 hours and they do not stain my lips.

My overall ratings:

Thanks for reading! Let me know whats your favourite shade from the collection?

Review: Revlon Photoready 2-Way Foundation Compact

By adorebeauty06 · March 11, 2012

I always wanted to buy this foundation from the moment i saw it out in stores. I heard so much raved on the photoready liquid foundation which works so well on many. So why not try the foundation powder.I wanted to find the review online before buying it, but there isn't one that i can trust. So heres my OFFICIAL review. Hopefully to be one of the few that helps.

I bought it from the sale at Guardian for 20% less. So that explains the price I bought which was $5 less. I bought it in medium beige which is one shade lighter than the darkest shade. I can't remember what the shade is exactly. The powder, when swatched in stores, was pigmented. It blends really well on the back of my hand too. First impression, was definitely a GO.The product offers SPF 19 which is not relatively high but it helps to protect you from direct sunrays. Consisting 10.5g, it will take a while for me to get through it. The sleek black packaging made it look all high-end.
Unlike many of the powders that i have, this compact is not powdery at all. Once swiped, I don't even realized i had powder on.

Heres my experience:

This compact can be used wet or dry. I used this dry and I have to say i like the formula. It is smooth and it applies well on my face. No dry patchy feeling on my face. Neither did it caked up after hours using it. I wanted to go on with good points on this foundation, however you cannot expect amazing coverage with this product. Upon 5, coverage i would rate it only 2/5. I did a zoomed in of before and after foundation. And heres the ultimate result. Redness are slightly covered but not entirely. Blemishes were still seen after foundation.

This foundation did helped to mattify my face and made me look slightly brighter than usual. It also does have a pink undertone to it that sometimes bother me. It does not oxidise on my face. IN COMPARISON to my Kate mineralize powder which i love, this foundation lasted a little longer. Roughly about 8 hours. My face was less oily at the end of the day too. All in all, I wouldnt say i love this foundation. I dont hate it either. I am still having a mixed feeling with this. Its a love/hate relationship. I used this almost everyday and i have no complains. It does make my complexion better than without it though.

So overall I would rate it I hope this helps!

xoxo

I wanted to make an honourable mention on this haul because these are coincidentally Revlon products which came and bought at the same time.If you can remember Zee, who came for the beauty xmas party, she asked me whether i wanted anything from US since she was heading there for her holidays! (JEALOUS MUCH!) Anyway, i thought why not get the lip butters since it was not available in Singapore. So she got me those and I am so happy and i appreciate her effort to get it even though she mentioned it was a tough one to find these babies. Zee, thank you once again babe. I loved them alot!

But as you all know now, these lip butters are available right here in Singapore, at your John little near you :) These are the two which Zee got for me.

I like how strawberry shortcake has blue sparkles in them! Yum! These are the swatches below. I only tried Strawberry shortcake this morning and i love how creamy the texture it! However it does not last that long either. Lets see how it perform in time to come :)Next product was on sale while i was finding a sanitary pad at Guardian. And i saw this deal! it was $23.90 only! I was always swatching this powder and was wondering how it worked. So i took the risk and bought it. I will do a review on this powder because i could not find a soul who did a review on this. I shall do it to let you know my opinions :) Ive got it in medium beige which is almost close to early tan. But do not quote me on that ladies!Hope you like this episode of picked up stuffs! Let me know if you are interested in the review for the powder as above! :)
