Tutorial: L'oreal La Couleur Iridescent Finish, All Night Blue

I believe every make up junkie out there must have gotten their hands on these fabulous cream metallic eyeshadows.Recently I bought these combo from Mustafa at such a great price! Buy 02 for $13.90. And i selected the blue and the beige shadows since I do not have them in my collection.

In my opinions, these shadows are the easiest form of eye make up. You just have to swipe it on your eyes and you are done. They are pigmented and long lasting. Forget those eye primers because these won't budge.

My tutorial features the above product, All night blue eyeshadow. It is so vibrant it made my face glow. Somehow or rather.

Heres how it looked on me. Pair it up with a nude liptick and a pink or coral blush!

Products mentioned:
- Mac Painterly Paintpot
- Mac Soft Brown Eyeshadow
- BH Eyeshadow WN in no. 16
- Stila Twig Eyeshadow
- Loreal La Coleur Iridescent Finish in All night blue
- Loreal La Coleur Iridescent Finish in Flashback Silver
- Mac Jaunty Eyeshadow
- Silkygirl 20hr eye pencil in black
- Maybelline Hypersharp Liner in Black
- Stage Concealer
- Covergirl Eyemaker pencil in Midnight Brown
- Maybelline Fashion Brow Mascara in Brown
- Mac Studio Concealer in NW30
- Pixy powder in Tropical Beige
- Nars Casino Bronzer
- Mac Supernatural Blush
- Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist lipstick in No.26

Thanks for watching!

HAUL! Shiseido & Watson Member sale (NARS,MAYBELLINE,REVLON)

By adorebeauty06 · June 13, 2013

Charlene & I planned the night earlier to head to the sale after seeing the FB post from Shiseido Singapore. She was excited for the Shiseido Skincare range and I, the Nars sale. It is the first NARS sale in Singapore since they've launched.

We queud a good 1 hour before the sale and they were about 06 girls in front of us. Once the door was opened, we were all ready to head in. The first stop I went to was the NARS counter. People were charging the Cle de Peau Beaute counter since they have good great deals. Saving $500 for a set of skincare range is really no joke. Anyways, my total damaged was $130 and I only got 04 items. Compared to Estee Lauder's sale which I went last April,I did get more quantity from the sale at the same price.

Also if I may add, Shiseido should see how Estee Lauder handles and run their sale. It is much more organized, prices are stated clearly to avoid having the people behind the counters to answer to everyone screaming and yelling on how much the products are. Also, its better to have sign and display of the products according to categories so that it is much more organized and people dont go frantics. I went to 04 Estee Lauder sale and so far, in terms of product knowledge, prices ranges and product handling, went very smooth and was very organized. Just my 2 cents.

On to my haul!

I saw a couple of duo eyeshadows and nail polishes but these products caught my attention. I always have my NARS wishlist with me and the two main products are the Casino Bronzer and Galapagos eyeshadow. I swatched it and fell in love. So without knowing the price (Which does not happen very often,  me being disillusional) I took them and put them in my plastic bag. I have always been a fan of bright lipsticks, so you can bet I helped myself with the lipstick!

Then, I always wanted to try this but never get to buy it because it cost just too darn much. And so, knowing it was only $50 a bottle, I bought one. I know I should have bought two...or three... haha! Silly me. Oh wells, it was a happy buy!

Who would ever thought, another sale was waiting for me....

On to my Watson Haul. I bought mostly essential products but I am excited for the make up stuffs though! Lets scroll down shall we?

Spot on! Start right smack with the cosmetic products! These products have 25% discounts on them and hence I enjoyed greater savings!

These are the products I bought:

- Maybelline Volume Express Mascara Cat Eyes
- Revlon Photoready BB cream in 003 Medium
- Maybelline Fashion Brow Mascara in Brown
- ZA Eyebrow pencil in Natural Brown
- Maybelline Watershine in P22

My skin is rather dry nowadays despite the humid weather. I thought I would try this cute packs and see how it works and hopefully my skin gets more supple and less dull due to all the dry skin!

Here are the swatches!
Casino Bronzer

Maybelline Watershine Lipstick in P22

NARS Funny Faces Lipstick

These are just summary of what I spoke on my video. To see more details, do watch my video!

My forgotten purchase at Watson..

Because i was too busy over the past few months, I usually buy the stuff and start using them. I forgot when was it exactly when i buy these products. Watson have been having alot of sales lately. Member or not, everybody gets to benefit. So if you miss the sale this time, fret not, there will be one coming soon before you knew it. People queue for these sales.

Watson, good job! Great marketing!

AQUALABEL Sun Block SPF 50PA+++ - I have used two bottles of the Shiseido AQUALABEL Sun block White Up Base SPF 25PA+ and I thought of trying a product which has a higher amount of SPF on it. And since i have a history of breaking out whenever i try new products, I came to a conclusion of getting the same brand, with the same line but contain a much higher SPF which is the Sun Block 50PA+++. Remember girls, SPF IS REALLY IMPORTANT! Just like how fruits are vital for your body. Anyway, after using this for quite a while now, there are certainly no signs of breaking out and I like how the products smoothen my face out and it does not make my face oily or appear greyyish due to the white formula. It is not too watery either so that is a good consistency when applying it on the face.

DOVE Overnight Hair Treatment- My dear friend bought this back when we were in Bangkok. And I loved what it did to my hair. It made my hair instantly shiny and soft and smell oh so good! Apply this on damp hair and see what it turns out when your hair gets dry. Love.

VICHY Purifying Foam Cleanser - I have been using the Avene Gel Cleanser and i thought i wanted to try something new. I bought this and the first time when i was using it, the scent was really overpowering. I was scared that it might complicate my sensitive skin, but nothing bad came up out of it. It was however drying my face out where i see dry flakes of skin appear on my cheeks. So for people with dry skin, skip this.

Normaderm Anti-perfection concentrate - I always stock up on these. My HG product ever. I recomended it to everybody! They have new graphic packaging now. Not bad!
Read here for my review.

Olay White Radiane Eye Serum - I have heard raves about this product after seeing some Singaporean bloggers gave good reviews on this product. I thought of giving this a try. I am on my late 20s and I have been using eye product since I was 20 however i never really buy a product which targets just for brightening the under eye area. So with this I am determine to see what and how it shows up.

Well ladies, those were the skincare products I bought recently. Have you tried any of these? What was your experience like?

Share it down below ya!

Wiwit's Studio : My brow class

Email |

By adorebeauty06 · June 3, 2013

It was weeks before my sister's engagement when I contacted Wiwit to teach me about how to tackle brows! She called me in her studio that weekend and she said she would teach me her tricks. So after transferring $80.00 to her bank account I was on the role to better brow artist.

She sent me the address and along with my gf, Zin being the best bud who volunteers herself as my model, we went and find the place. Welcome by her voice as I walked through the doors and up the staircase, I saw 04 walls covered with classy tiffany blue paint and studio lights, mirror and chairs all neatly placed. The studio was cozy almost home-like to me since the floor was parque and all of us have to open our shoes to walk around.

You can tell by seating at the corner of her studio listening to her teaching her students that her passion was burning. It put a smile to my face when i remembered years ago when we first met, she always gave me the impression of "nothing is impossible" and she did show it today.
I am proud of you Wiwit.

Anyways, once her class ended, it was my turn to put to work. We started with the tools she uses, the tips she shared and demonstrated how she did Zin's brows. She showed me how bridal brows are. As you can see below, it is a gradient from light to dark.

Next, it was my turn. I flopped in the beginning, feeling very much nervous with her supervisions but i made it through on my own brows as you can see below. The art is to practise. Draw the arch and clean it with a concealer at the back of your havd first. And then you try it on your own brows. Practise makes perfect. Make time for it.

Thanks Wiwit for having me. I was honored and am glad that I attended your class and visitted your studio.

I captured the services she offers for your information. Contact her to know more yes!

Do drop by 53A Arab St Singapore 199750, 2nd level through the side door. Not Haji Lane. Or contact her @ 84224280.

My new STUDIO set up!

By adorebeauty06 · June 1, 2013

It has been YEARS since i wanted to do this but my procrastination got the better of me. I am sharing with you my thought process hopefully I could inspire you girls to move that "bum bum" of yours and build up your own studio!
I knew what I wanted and I planned everything using my BEST RECOMMENDED expertise - PHOTOSHOP.

Well, alot of research goes into this project.  I did a collage to list down the products that I want, the budget and the measurements. These help me in organizing my shopping list.

I then take a photo of the location that I wanted to revamp and superimpose it prior to the measurements of the items above. It looked somewhat cartoonish but hey, it works! Can you tell my overall concept? I caught the great vibe when I was busy creating this artwork. Once, you feel it, honey the rest is HISTORY.

So, i went to Ikea with my whole family and they being the supporters of my life, helped me to grab the items and also suggest better ways to set up my studio such as excluding the "table" and get a trolley instead since i need to move around when I do somebody's make up. The height of the chair have to be right as well so that i won't tire myself by bending down too low or raising myself up too high. Alot of things I have to consider in order to make it all works. So take your time and plan well.

Total Investments: $250.00

Back home, I was all ready to put the nitty griity wally stuffs. They are the mirror and the light bulbs. The tricky part about the light bulbs are that you need to have your own naked NEUTRAL (N) and LIVE (L) wire. My dad and I went to the electrical shop and bought the wire that needed for setting up of the lights. It is tricky therefore I suggest you "GRAB A MAN" to handle the lights. As for the mirror, it was straight-forward and I am glad I got the big one. Alot of drill works, but it was all worth while.

I was really happy that it is finally up. However I am planning to get daylight instead of warm lights. Ikea only offer the warm lights, so i will update you all should i find those. Meantime, feel free to ask me questions relating to these!

Thanks for reading as always!

Editor.

My Love & Passion.
