I knew and remembered i had the similar colour somewhere in my collections....what was it?....
Its my 96 eyeshadow palette?!!!! Oh! What a waste huh!
So, if you have the 96 eyeshadow palette, you will benefit alot!
I am quite shocked how intense the palette colour was. The Stage es looks much less pigmented, is maily because it has golden shimemrs on it which tone the colour down alot comparing to the eyeshadow palette. so yeah! Another dupe!
As usual, I will play around with my make up as and when i like. AND I found a DUPE!! I love it when i find dupes, because it allows my readers to get a cheaper alternative! So, here it is, MAC DEEP TRUTH! A very popular blue eyeshadow. Great for smokey looks!
Milani RUNWAY Eyeshadow in Blue Lagoon cost $20.90. You better get it fast because the Singapore Sale(20-30% off) will be off soon! It is great for both wet and dry application. I could not point out any flaws from either of them! :)
One day, I saw on specktra, dupes on MAC eyeshadows. And i saw MAC expensive pink = NYX Wild Flower. So, me being in love with expensive pink, I bought and wanted to try it. Knowing how pigmented NYX eyeshadows are and how highly raved it was among beauty bloggers on it being the cheaper version of Mac. So, I did a comparison with Rachael, my colleague, mac expensive pink and took the opportunity to compare. On the pan, they look SUPER different! Expensive pink looks way darker and golden on the pan and wild flower is way lighter and somewhat matte on the pan. So i tried and swatched them. If you can see, the colours are similar. It is! Unexpectedly. But Mac eyeshadow is way more vibrant and more pigmented plus great pay off than nyx do. I shall not judge by just one eyeshadow from Nyx, but i have to give it credits on being so close to Mac's great quality. Kudos!

Yes, I know. I found a dupe which cost much more than my main product. But just in case, if you already have either or, do not get anything which is duplicable. You will just feel like such a bummer having dupes in your collection. So here it is :)
I love both of them I have to say. Nyx seems to be a very natural lip colour for me which brightens up my face. But it wears off so fast! It takes less than 45 minutes that I need to touch up again and again and again. But with Revlon, not only my lips are so moisturised, but its a very long-wearing lipstick. Hands down.
This is the long awaited review. I have to try this twice on two different days, to test the consistency and pigmentation of it. So, let us go along with the images shall we?
Packaging:
Honestly, I hate the packaging. It looks like some bullet gun device which is kept in a dome lid packaging. TThey could have done something better. I would not purchase this because of its packaging bt rather because I heard raves about this product. So, it a very lightweight compact-like eyeshadow trio. Yes, they are baked products, which explains the dome shape each and everyone of it has. Physician Formula, really thinks like a cliche physicians themselves, having to produce a product colorless~

So as you seen above, apparently I didnt apply it wet, to see how it looks originally. So, here it is. I love the pigmentation. It is crazy. So pigmented. Its soft and very easy to blend. Especially the crease. And I love how neutral this is for everyday look. It has a nice shimmer to it to prevent from being too dull. I love how it looks on my eyes. Its like i have my own natural eye contour. There are so many cosmetic companies who does these 3 colour for neutral everyday look either in quads or trios. So, as many of you know, I have already purchased my very first mac eyeshadows and they look similar to each other. I have had so many of the same colours it frustrates me alot. So, I am giving this away to my bestie..because unfortunately I already have them in my collections.
Yes they look similar, but when swatched are they really dupes of MAC? I would say, the colours close but the texture and result is way different. If you could see, MAC e/s are way pigmented and frosty. Whereas the PF are more subtle. But, if you already have any of each, do no re-purchase any of these. My next purchases for e/s are out of neutral colours at the moment.
Ratings:
Product: 5/5
Packaging: 2/5 (badly designed)
Would I buy again? Of course not of the same colour, but yeah..I am aiming the smokey ones!
Would I recommend it? Definitely! Its great for everyday look. And you know, baked products last longer than a normal eyeshadow would. :)
I was browsing through my eyeshadow drawer, and I saw my much loved milani eyeshadows sitting there asking for attention. So, I picked them up and swatched them for fun. And then I realized, that the Milani Bronze Doll eyeshadow was looking a bit like Amber lights! So, I put them side by side, and i was so shocked to know they are so similar! ARGH! i bought the same colour which I already have! Great on diana. Way to go! I told you lovelies that I was going to really make my first MAC eyeshadows a good one, but yeah, Very gay of me. Anyway, aside from being paranoid, I was glad enough to find a dupe for MAC. Everybody loves dupes! Especially comparing to the great MAC. So here it is.
Yes, you can see that Amber Lights has more intensity in the colour swatched. But both of them are the same colour. So, if you do not want to spens $26 on a MAC eyeshadow, milani is a great dupe which cost $20.90. At least you save $5.10 which you can save! So, till then ladies, im on a search for a better lid colour. I find amber lights too bronzy for me. I don't know. whadya think?Don't mind my oily face. This was taken at the end of the day before I washed my face. Is this tooo coppery bronzey?! I was shocked!

When I first got recommended aKne by a sales girl in Guardian West Mall, I know i had to try it since buying Vichy on a monthly basis will burn my pockets. Most of you know, I broke out from using d GREAT MAC face product. So, i remembered clearly, i was on a project of no foundation and STRICTLY facial-rest and treatment. So, I got Vichy because I know it will work to treat my break outs. Vichy became such a great product for calmness of acne or problem skin. The only thing is, it cost a BOMB! So, after my Vichy was all used up in mere 3 weeks of religiously applied morning and night, i decided to get another one. But did i? NOOOO...because the salesgirl has to grab my arms and promote me her products. So, being a good citizen, i gave her my 5 mins. I was so impressed by what she said, I bought it because I thought, maybe this toner will work. Then for such a cheap price, I am able to stick to it.
I used it as a toner every morning and night and I saw results. Not only it treats my breakouts, but it also maintain and prevents my face from future breakouts. JACKPOT!!!! Now, I have 100ml MORE than Vichy and cost $10 CHEAPER! AMAZING!...i am not trying to tell you to go down and grab it. DO CONSULT someone who knows your problem first before you grab any products ok? I like durian..and you like chocolate. We have different skins...hahah! I hope you get it~...eheheh ANYWAY, BEHOLD FOR I SHALL SHOW YOU THE RESULT OF THE GREAT BEFORE AND AFTER!!!

I swear, there is no editing at all. If there would, I would have extended my eyebrows. hahahaha! :)
TRUTH BE TOLD!
When I used my 217 brush, it kind of gave me the impression that my manicare brush could give me the same result. So here it is. My version of comparing the greatest 217 brush against a drugstore brush. Apart from the obvious difference of price, I shall not dwell on it too much. So, lets start with what their purpose is for,
BLENDING.
MAC 217 BRUSH: Apply colour well, blends easily.
MANICARE BLENDING BRUSH: Apply colour well, needed to blend abit more to get the same effect 217 gives.
PRODUCT WISE.
MAC 217 BRUSH: Goat hair. It has a little burning sensation on me after use. Its white which makes it harder to be squeaky, white-y clean! No drop off.
MANICARE BLENDING BRUSH: Synthetic Hair. SO soft! Small dome shape makes it all easier to blend for me. Easy to clean. No drop off.
My take:
I am absolutely shocked how my manicare brush could even be compared to MAC 217 brush! I mean, it works so well. And the reason why we get the higher end products are because of the quality and how well it works for us. Manicare brush did well for me. The shape, the application and the price! I still love my MAC 217 brush no doubt. But to all you people who do not want to spend $33 for a brush, I will suggest you to get manicare brush. You save $27.80! Plus, you get a good product! I would not say manicare brush is a dupe of MAC 217. I do not dare to claim so, but really, try it.
