This was requested by alot of my readers, iamvix and linnera.
Firstly, I wanted to stress that this is from what i experienced, learnt and researched. I have started using bronzers ever since i bought a MAC Brunette MSF from the MAC Sale early this year. It was selling for $51 in stores, and at the sale i got it for only $20. So it was a HUGE BARGAIN. I did not know wat it was used for, but the MUA told me its great for bronzers. So, i went back home and tried it. I was a bornzer idiot before that and after i applied, I look super glowy. In a weird way. It was too orange but i really2 love how it looked on my face. So now, from lessons learnt, i apply it sparingly making sure i don't look like a red lobster. :)
My 12 yr old PC is really lagging and i am really in need of rest. Therefore the images are not watermarked nor its editted. You can pretty see the differences. I only own 2 bronzers. One is the MAC MSF, the other is STILA Bronzer in shade No.2.
The left side is MAC MSF BRUNETTE and the right side in STILA BRONZER NO.2. Below is a pic of me WITHOUT any bronzer. Just my stark naked blush :)
I dont look pale, but i loved when i apply bronzers on. The lightings are obviously different. But to whom who has no idea if you need bronzers, well let me tell you. YOU NEED THEM! haha! My bronzers are two very different bronzers to begin with. I am not asking you to get them but i am going to educated you a thing or two about bronzers. Now, This is a picture of me using:
STILA Bronzer

You can actually tell its a much subtle look. Its very close to my skin colour, yet my face is very framed up. Now here is my take on Stila Bronzer.
To begin with, the texture of the bronzer on the pan is super soft and velvety. It is pigmented but at the same time, it is very 2 close to my skin colour. They should have Shade 3. But unfortunately, they don't. So, for me, i want to make this work because i heard so much raved about it. This bronzer is great for everyday neutral on the go look as the bronzer is matte. It has an orange undertone to it. I have to build the colour on my face at least twice to get the desired colour i needed. I could use this as contour too but i prefer a much darker shade for contouring. It gave me that nice tan and a subtle glow. I would not advice asnybody who is darker than my skintones to get this bronzer as it wont even show up on your skin. I am NC42. Check my shades at the right side of my blog column. This is sold in stores. It is a permanent product. You can order online, as it is way cheaper.

Would I buy it again?: No. Just because of the shade. Other than that, its amazing. But i think its dupeable.
MAC MSF BRUNETTE

Now, I am going to show you a shimmery bronzer. Not many people ideally would love shimmery bronzer as many would claim it is unnatural. Well, i have to disagree. Mayeb the fact that i own Brunette MSF which is less shimemry than any other mac msf out there. It gave me d sheen i desire for. Here is my take:
MAC Brunette MSF was sold in the REDHEAD BLONDE BRUNETTE collection back in February 2009. They are limited edition which is a negative aspect for many of you who likes this. It is shimmery but do not have chunky glitters. It has a red undertone which application has to be really careful otherwis eyou turn out to be ORANGE! It gives the perfect tan to my face. The shimmery creates a nice sheen of glow. I love it! Plus its long lasting. I looked as glowy as i am in the morning and after i came back from night classes. Its just my fav right now. This is great for skin which are way darker than my own. This bronzer is for us. Woman of colour. Perfect shades. You can even use the lighter part of the msf for highlights. So its a multi-purpose bronzer.
By now you can actually tell which is my favourite. I prefer a bronzer with light shimmers which makes my face a better glow. I have oily skin and shimmery bronzer did not make my face more oilier. It didnt. Now, i am saying about a light shimmer not chunky ones

FAQ
Where to get them?
Now, this is the part where i let you know, where you can get them. FOR MAC MSF, You know its LE! So, i did my research and i saw an ebay seller who is so kind to sell it for only $29.90! CHECK HER out here. Lucky you since she selling it at a super low price! For stila, do check out their website.
What is the difference between bronzers and contour powder? Can they be used vice versa?
Like i always stress- Use what works for you! For me personally, i do not mix them both to use contour powder for bronzer and vice versa, because my contour powder are much darker tone. They tend to have brown and neutral undertone. And if i were to put it as bronzer, i will look super muddy. More like i put cocoa powder on my face. haha! As for bronzer, yes sometime i do apply to contour but i find it does not accentuate my bone structure as great as contour powder would. They are created to serve different purposes.
My definition of
Bronzer: It is most common to use bronzer if you want a more tanned look to your face or want a sunkissed glow. Bronze severval points of your face where the sun normally hits. These spots are the forehead, cheeks, and chin.
Contour Powder: Emphasizing your bone structure. Contour powder should be of a neutral color without any red or yellow overtones and, in fact, it should be a few shades darker than your foundation. Actually, using a darker foundation is a good idea as it can be blended far more easily than powder. Check this link out for more info.
Well i hope i answer alot of your qsn. Let me know if i missed out on anything to cover yah :)
