Tutorial: L'oreal La Couleur Iridescent Finish, All Night Blue

I believe every make up junkie out there must have gotten their hands on these fabulous cream metallic eyeshadows.Recently I bought these combo from Mustafa at such a great price! Buy 02 for $13.90. And i selected the blue and the beige shadows since I do not have them in my collection.

In my opinions, these shadows are the easiest form of eye make up. You just have to swipe it on your eyes and you are done. They are pigmented and long lasting. Forget those eye primers because these won't budge.

My tutorial features the above product, All night blue eyeshadow. It is so vibrant it made my face glow. Somehow or rather.

Heres how it looked on me. Pair it up with a nude liptick and a pink or coral blush!

Products mentioned:
- Mac Painterly Paintpot
- Mac Soft Brown Eyeshadow
- BH Eyeshadow WN in no. 16
- Stila Twig Eyeshadow
- Loreal La Coleur Iridescent Finish in All night blue
- Loreal La Coleur Iridescent Finish in Flashback Silver
- Mac Jaunty Eyeshadow
- Silkygirl 20hr eye pencil in black
- Maybelline Hypersharp Liner in Black
- Stage Concealer
- Covergirl Eyemaker pencil in Midnight Brown
- Maybelline Fashion Brow Mascara in Brown
- Mac Studio Concealer in NW30
- Pixy powder in Tropical Beige
- Nars Casino Bronzer
- Mac Supernatural Blush
- Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist lipstick in No.26

Thanks for watching!

Review: L'oreal La Couleur Infallible Iridescent Finish

Since GSS is still going on, you might get the chance to get this 10-20% off. They are sold at $14.90 each which i feel is very affordable. They comes in about 6 colours. Correct me if i am wrong, but these are products you MUST NOT miss. I might giveaway the whole idea of reviewing these babies but i want to tell you how this works.

I got the shade Forever Pink which is a metallic pink with tiny silver glitters.  It is packed together in a plastic jar which consist of 3.5g og product. This might last you a year to finish. Next one is, Flashback Silver which is a purplish undertone silver with silver glitters. These are the swatches. Pigmented and has a smooth "paste" to it.It is a cream base eyeshadow. However it is not too creamy when apply.

My Experience:

First time applying it, i was shocked at how smooth the consistency is on my eyelid. No tugging involved. The colour came right off. When touching the product, there is no dipping needed. Just rub on the cream shadows slightly and you get a massive amount of colour which can fill up your entire lids. I tried this without an eye primer, and to my surprise, there were no smudging or shifting or fading of colour. It is vibrant even after 14 hours of application. However, i do have slight creasing lines which i can easily rub my eyelids and its gone. So for me, i can definitely have the options of not putting eye primer before this. I love this product so much, now that i am writing this, i feel like buying them now! I used it on my sister the other day when she goes out for a date, and she agrees that it lasted for her too at the end of the day.

Overall Ratings:Highly Recommended.

Have you tried these? What are you experience?

Products I repurchased and probably won't change...

When there are so many products in the market which can help every single need of yours, you tend to wonder, do they work on me? Alot of products you and I buy, we tend to chuck it one side after 1-2 weeks of usage. Why? Because there are ZERO results! So here i am, sharing the products that I have been loving for years now and I believe in these products. I have managed to gather them all and share with you the products i keep buying and replenishing on my beauty wardrobe. These are the babies that works well on me and who knows if you try them, you will love it too!Let's start ith this corner in a clockwise motion.

1. Etude House Collagen Moistfull cream (eye) $37.00 : I loved this eyecream. I don't see an amazing effect on it but it does smoothen out my under eye which makes application of cream concealer alot easier. There were no lines on my eyes after make up applciation. This eye cream has a good scent to it too. Its always cooling and it absorbs well.

TIPS: Buy it when there is a 30% off storewide. (Etude house)

2. L'oreal Lip & Eye Make-up Remover $13.90 : I have been using this religiously for 7 years now. I have tried many many eye and lip remover such as MAC, Shu uemura, Chanel on the high end and Maybelline, Sasa on the mid range brands. However, while the high-end works like a charm, the prices they have is inevitably high. For the mid range brands, there do not work as well. So for me, as long as it removes easily and there no tugging of my delicate skina round my eyes and lips, i am on it! And this remover did it just fine.

TIPS: Buy the ones which comes is a pair for $21.90. Great steal! (Watson, John Little, Guardian, Metro, Robinson)

3. Shiseido AQUALABEL Make Up Base SPF 25 PA++ $18.90 : I just recently tried this product because i thought, "hey! shiseido has an affordable range!" So i got it and tried it. As usual, every sunscreen product we buy, there won't be much of a difference, however you do trust that it would protect your skin from those harsh rays. This product here, makes my skin smoother for make-up application. It is infact a make up base too. I finally guaranteed this product was good was when I was out under the sun for hours, and when i came back, my skintone does not drop a shade. So that says something right?

TIPS: Buy when Watson has member sale or GSS. (Watson)

4. Avene Diacneal for Acne Prone Skin  $59.00 : This baby right here is really expensive i must say. There was a time i was having crazy acne and bumps on my face. OH! now i remember, when i wore MAC fluid on my face. So i went to watson and an Avene advisor recommended me this. It works! Whenever i have bumps on my face, i would use this on it and it will subside. I wont guarantee this to everyone but it works for me. It is expensive and it has a funky smell to it. But hey if it works, i am game!

TIPS: Buy when Guardian or John little has 20% sale which happens all the time. (Watson, John Little, Guardian, Metro, Robinson)

5. Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion $70.00 : My bestfriend introduced this to me one day and i thought the scent is really stinky! However, while i don't see any results in this lotion, i realized, i dont have much problems with my face for a good 6 months either! That was dramatic if you ask me!

TIPS: Buy when a friend/ colleague travels out of town. DFS always sells them in a pack of 2 for $90 or each at $50.10 only! (DFS, Robinson, Tangs, Takashimaya, Metro, Sephora)

6. The Face Shop Herb Day Cleansing Wipes $17.90 : I broke out to many wipes from other brands but with this, i was more attracted to it matte-like packaging more than anything else. One day i bought the travel pack, which is $5.90 each and gave it a try. I love love love the scent. it is so refreshing and relaxing at the same time. It has a thicker ply of tissue to it which does not tear up however rough i am. It removes my make up entirely, includes eyeliner but not mascara. I never broke out ever from these wipes. Highly recommended.

TIPS: Buy when they have 20% off storewide sale. (The Face Shop)

7. KATE Mineral Loose Powder $23.00 : I received this from KATE bloggers event last year and i think that KATE was amazing for creating a shade for my skintone! Thats rare from such brands. Anyway, this powder last all day and it gave me a flawless finish. Even when i apply it on its own without any liquid foundation below it. Its that good! Surprise surprise! Try it, i would recommend it.

TIPS: Buy when they have member sale or GSS. (Watson, John Little, Sasa)

8. Bobbi Brown Loose Powder in Natural Tan $52.00 : I still owe it to Lin for giving me this. We exchanged make up and i received this form her. I am in love with this powder. I may add that this might be my HG powder. It made my skin look flawless. It does not oxidise on me. It made my blush last too which is rare on many loose powder. I love it. Right now, BB does not sell the loose ones anymore. They slel it in a pressed form. Check it out!

Review on more powders here.

TIPS: Buy when a friend/ colleague travels out of town. DFS always sells them cheaper! (DFS, Robinson, Tangs, Takashimaya)

9. Burt's Bees Replenishing Lip Balm $9.00 : This lipbalm works a charm. Its not greasy, its not sticky, it does smell weird but it keep smy lips moisturised for a very long time. Even after food or drinks.

TIPS: Buy online. http://www.under-twenty20.com/ - She sells them in a pair for less. (Sephora)

10. ZA Eyebrow Pencil in BR21 $11.90 : I love that this pencil is retractable, that it has a pointed tip and that the colour came right off. Easy breezy!

TIPS: Buy when they have member sale or GSS. (Watson, John Little)

11. CoverGirl Eye Maker AND brow definer in Midnight brown US$2.99 : I am using this brow pencil even after switching out to other brands and still end up loving this pencil. Something about the colour, the shade, the long lastingness and how it lookes somewhat natural on my brows. I have to order this though online from drugstore.com through sprees.

TIPS: Buy when http://icefrostsprees.onsugar.com/ has drugstore.com sprees :)

12. VICHY Normaderm Concentrate $29.00 : This is definitely my HG spot treatment. It treats any pre-pimple bumps or acne bumps and clear or dries it fast by the next day i applied this on. i have recommended many to try this and i got nothing but good news.

TIPS: Buy when Guardian or John little has 20% sale which happens all the time. (Watson, John Little, Guardian, Metro, Robinson)13. Avene Cleanance Gel Cleanser $39.00 : This has a tiny voice that tells me, " I am gonna make your face clean and clear and problem free." And it does! Althought this is not a soapy nor foamy cleanser, i loved that after the wash, my face feels so soft and super duper clean. This PLUS my clinique moisturizibng lotion, it works like magic.

TIPS: Buy when Guardian or John little has 20% sale which happens all the time. (Watson, John Little, Guardian, Metro, Robinson)

AHH! Finally it has reach to the end. This is a LONG Post.  Let me know what products do you repurchase and whether you liked any of these products stated above!

Thanks for reading and i hope this helps!

This is what i have accumulated before my trip. Initially my colleague ordered the Benefit cosmetics online and I managed to join in! I really needed nothing from them but hey, why not try new products. So i got the hello flawless oxygen wow liquid foundation in toasted beige. I heard that this foundation is really trending! Everybody starts talking about this. And even my colleague knew it is new in the market. So we both got ourself one of the foundation. I got the bellabamba blush. Wanting to know how good it is. I mean i have never tried benefit's blush. So this is a great opportunity, I say! Also another hyped up product is the They're Real Mascara. I will do a seperate review on them in the futures:)This is the swatch for the foundation. Obviously I am much darker now due to the sun. But anywhoo i have tried this foundation and i must say the coverage is pretty good. These are the new L'oreal Couleur Eyeshadow that is out in stores at $14.90 each! I am stoked! I didnt get any of the last one which was offered here in SIngapore and then they removed it from the display. Now that the new colours are offered, I got 2! yeah for that! Colours which i definitely can wear everyday! These are the swatches on my skintone!I never own any Wet & Wild palettes. I love to see them in hauls but i never get myself to it. Maybe cause i feel like i have those colours. But to even own one for myself, is just a bonus.  I got the Color Icon in Comfort Zone.Thank you so much Lin for giving this to me. I appreciates it alot! I love it now that its with me and I have been playing with it time and time again. Love love love! Thanks Lin!
And finally, since i stalk FacesBySarah for a living (instagram, facebook, youtube, blog...hehee), and the minute she shouted out this product as one of her favourite products, i knew i had to have it! With 20% off from John Little at Jurong Point main atrium, I managed to get it less than $6! It is the Braphy Waterproor Eye Pencil. Usual price is $8.90.

I also got the Revlon Photoready Perfecting Finish for $28.90. I heard so much raves on it so im excited to try it. Also the mini smooth Gatsby wax @ $4.90 only :) cute huh! i needed volume on my layers so that explains.

So yes my fellow readers! These are the accumulated new toys i am so looking forward to play with. Some of which i have gathered my own observance and I shall do reviews on them. Let me know if you have had tried any of the products mentioned above and whether you like them or not :)

Thanks for reading!

I might have found another HG mascara: L'oreal LASH Architect 4D

By adorebeauty06 · April 1, 2012

My sister have a habit of showing me whatever she buy in the cosmetic section upon arriving home. So she showed me this. I was not impressed as I thought "haakh!" another mascara. One day when we went out for dinner, my eyes couldn't stop staring at the lashes! We were born with medium length lashes but lack of volume. Thanks MOM! haha! Anyway, i then asked her, was she using the new mascara? And she said yes!

The next morning i had to try it. And honey, i put my dollywink mascara to rest.

Presenting you, L'oreal Lash Architect 4D mascara, sold at the Drugstores locally at $27.90.
The little details on the wand captures me. It is a very long wand. Approximately 3cm in length which can sometimes be intimidating. The wand itself is slanted upwards or downwards depending on how you position it on your eyes.

My experiences:

Speaking about the slanted slightly angled wand, it was easy to position it for my top lashes, the side lashes which was very much abandon by many mascaras out there and also my inner lashes toward smy tearduct. Turning the wand angle downward I managed to get on my lower lashes too. This mascara WOWs me. On the first coat, it looked like no other mascara could possibly offer. However, on the second coat, my lashes looked fuller, it looked doll-like because the wand can reach even at the outer corner lashes of my eye. My lashes have never looked super long and noticeable. The formula of the mascara made my lashes thicker and much more curl. I can definitely skip curling my lashes with this mascara before the first coat but definitely a boost if i were to curl after the second coat when the mascara is dry.

It is also a wet formula as you can see on the picture above. So bare in mind you have to give time for it to dry before the second coat. This mascara made my lashes curl the whole day. Not even an inch of shifting in placement. They stay there the whole day.  I have captured how great this mascara is.

Many would ask, how about removing it?

Apply your oil remover on the lashes by soaking it first (for a while) and then wiggle it upwards to remove. I need at least 2 cotton pads to remove it.  Which normally I used only one is enough per eye. It does take abit more work to remove. But none of my lashes were damaged due to that.
Look at how happy my lashes are in the end!

Worthwhile much!

Overall Ratings:

Have you tried this yet? It is new on the shelf! I definitely would recommend it! GOOD JOB L'OREAL!

They cost $20.90 each.Moving on, Loreal also brought in the Infalliable La Couleurs which reminds me of the Chanel Illusion D'ombre! They are pigmented but shimmery. Amazing for lazy beauty junkies who needs eye colour on the go :) Last but not least, I saw a palette! SILKYGIRL came up with a combo palette which has 02 different combination of shades! For $11.90, definitely amazing for beginners!

Picked up: Mustafa Yey! (Gabrini, Neutrogena, L'oreal)

yeah! i am as excited to share this with you as much as you are when you hear MUSTAFA HAUL! Anyways, lets get away from the word HAUL and use PICKED UP instead. So i went to Mustafa last weekend and i got some stuffs and am excited to try them!

If you are looking for amazing pigmented lipgloss, try Gabrini. I am in love with those! They are so lightweight and the colours offered are to die for!

OH! I must share this- I bought the nrutrogena acne clear wash, and while my face became better in terms that my bumps seemed to minimize and my face was so smooth, it made my eyes all swollen and i had irritations on my neck! That bad! It was the only new product i used in my routine, and yes. Unfortunately again i wasted my money to buy a poison for my face. Dangz!

So yes, skip it if you have sensitive skin!

Anyway, enjoy the video!

Editor.

My Love & Passion.
