It was one of our family's FIRST BIGGEST event. It was my second sister's engagement ceremony. After knowing her fiance more than 10 years now, they finally moved a chapter forward together and our family helped to make it happen. Her wishes, her goals and her dreams were the only elements that kept us fighting through months of preparations in creating the most memorable event.
I was on a role being the overall event planner. I was in charge of food, logistics, musics, hair and make up. Meanwhile my elder sister and my mom were in charge of decor, gifts and guests. After months of picking up the pieces of puzzles, all of us managed to pull through and it was THE MOST MEMORABLE EVENT EVER.

Well I will share with you more in details about the ceremony on my next post. For now, I wanted to show you the make up part which interest almost MOST of my readers. So here it is~! I have packed and set aside the make up look I wanted to do on her the night before on my IKEA trolley. I paced myself well since I have to do my eldest sister's make up, my mom and finally the bride. So heres the products I have laid out.

First up, I will talk about my eldest sister, Nura. She wanted a look that will match her lipstick. So, i told her, i am going to do a golden neutral look and I came up with this. I used Mac Rubenseque as the base. On top I applied inglot's Pearl Shadow in 430 (my fav) and applied Stila Twig and Mac soft brown on the outer brow bone and just her foundation powder on the highlight. I want to keep it subtle because she is not a make up person, so I do not want her to be uncomfortable throughout the day. I also applied a thin false lashes to add volume to her long lashes.

For her hair, she brought her hot tools all the way from Brisbane and I helped to curl it for her. Now this is the FIRST time I curled someone's tresses. (Do not mind my pyjamas) So i partitioned her hair like how many Youtube gurus does ( all that watching youtube videos does not go to waste, i tell ya!). Curled it, hold it, sprayed it and let it go!

As for the bride, I wanted to do a vintage "hair poof". I do not know the term for that, but it is massive VOLUME.

I teased her hair and sprayed layer by layer, section by section. And vouila!

Then, with the veil my sis Nura sew, I hooked it on the back of her hair like so. This photo also shows the ring ceremony. Shes a beauty!

For her make up, I kept it light. Applied Illamasqua Mat Primer and Maybelline mineral power liquid foundation in honey beige on her face. I used SMH eyeshadow in uptraviolet on her eyelids and 03 tones of browns and black eyeshadows to contour her eyelids. Under her eyes, I applied the make up for ever aqaua shadow (pink shade) and Silky girl 20 hr eyeliner (which really isn't that bad!) in black under her eyes. I applied a fluttery lashes to make her look a little flirty. Contoured her face with Bahamamamas from The Balm and highlight with Mac Whisper of guilt mineral skin finish. Her blush, I applied Mac subtle breeze (pink shade) and finish the look with Sariayu lipstick. The purple colour definitely compliments her skintone.

Well that is all for their looks. I really really am happy of the end result. They were my happy customers!
Thanks for reading my loves! More post to come!!!
Love,
Diana
