I swatched the winter collection eyeshadows, and it is not bad! I would say, they are pigmented and the packaging is absolutely adorable. I really like the shimmery pencils. Very glam! Good for XMAS gifts too! Is bodyshop in your xmas shopping list? I am considering. Im sure my gf would love it!

I am doing my end of course assignment for my marketing mix management project. I chose Body Shop to be my focus. So I need just a favour for you to share your views with me. I have only 2 questions.

- What other cosmetic brands are selling/offering/venturing into MINERALIZE product?

(I know MAC, and Bodyshop is just kicking in..what else)

- What other tea tree products are selling in Singapore?

( I am focusiing mainly on Body Shop, which has great2 range. Watson do sells prodcts which consist of tea tree oil too..what else.. anybody?)

I went down for a meeting with Body Shop for their dinner and dance event, and they did told me they are releasing a new collection called Love. So this is it i guess! :) Back to work for me!

I was at Ion earlier today, and i was impressed!! They look very delicious! I swatched it and they are surprisingly pigmented. The orange blush is great for bronzing. It remins me of Brunette MSF, but with an orangey tone to it. They are quite pricey. Hmmm everytime these prices keeps telling me, i rather get MAC instead. Are you sold in getting them?

I was giving this a try to see if body shop is a worth buying cosmetics line. So much for its body soaps and scrubs and scents, i was always swatching their make up line wanting to try them out. So, i did and i bought the blush. This blush is beautiful. It is peachy with gold shimmers. And it has a soft texture as well. So, for $22 i thought why not try it. So i got it in No.12. 

As you can see above, when i swatch it, it is super pigmented. It slide on the back of my hand like any mac eyeshadow would. So when i swatched it back in store, i was impressed and got it. But when i came home, and actually try it with my brushes on my cheeks, it just vanish to thin air! I tried 187 brush as it would dispersed the colour nicely on my cheeks but there was no colour at all. Its only specks of shimmers. So i tried with a denser brush, MAC 109 hoping to have its colour appear on my cheeks. And NoOoO IT failed! Hence, I just put it on my cheeks just because it gives a really pretty sheen which it makes my face glow. After lunch, when i went to my office's washroom to wash my hands, my cheeks looked undone. The blush totally dissapear. Maybe my skin is too oily or what not, it doesnt show up at all. Hmmm...so yeah, it is for me a total failure. Maybe it would turn up on darker skin if not lighter ones. But i totally regret buying this. I would have used the money, top up another $4 and get a mac eyeshadow which would never fail to please me.

Would I buy again? Nope. It deters my opinions on the other blushes. So skip that!

I got these out of curiousity. This are the new packaged and formula for the Tea Tree product in Body Shop. The cleanser is $19.80 and the toner is $21.90 and how much do i get it for? Both for only $29.90!!! What a saveR! I am uncertain if it is still selling in duos in store, but boy i saved, $11.90. I have always had sensitive skin. Prone to break outs on unknown products. I have large pores and i always have bums of either oils or white heads and blackheads. Those were my problems so far.

Lets begin with the cleanser. There are two types of cleansers in stores. The foam one or the gel-like liquid form. The foam is more mild and subtle and gentler for sensitive skin. I took the gel like because i needed something STRONG! haha! I am that greedy. Honestly, i hate the smell. It smells like "miyak geliga" in malay, in english its like our burn/cuts ointment we usually apply. But with that smell, i know its for a good purpose. For curing something. haha!

My take:

I have been washing daily every morning and night with this wash and i have to say, my face have never felt so smooth! Right after the wash, I do not feel and tightening nor stinging. It felt so much minty fresh! There are no foam or whatsoever when you start lathering it on your face. The cleanser removes impurities and bacteria which sticks on your face especially the oily ones. So, this cleanser helps to remove the bacteria and other dirt on your face. Plus it matifies your face. When I was using this wash, i realised, i do not break out. Usually on a normal basis i would at least "own" one. For the longest time, my face was acne-free! Maybe its just me or this products have helped me. So i am really liking this cleanser.

Would I but it again? Yes. I will stick through this.

Now, after cleansing your face, you need to use a toner to wipe off any left over dirts on your face and close your pores. I personally use this only at night. The reason why will be stated later on. This cost $21.90. And it is not a cheap toner to begin with. I do not really used toner initially but i did as my face became much oilier as i aged...haha!

My take:

I have a problem with this toner. From the smell right to the after effect. The smell is really really bothering me. Smells like medical ointment and when i apply it my face, i felt a slight burning sensation. Just a mini one which would last at least a good 1 minute. Right after that, i will apply my moisturiser. I was afraid initially that the burning sensation is a bad sign. But judging from my experience, it does its job. You have to shake the bottle as most of the residue settles at the bottom of the bottle. After using this toner, my face was not very mattified i have to add. It just looked the same as many toners would. I tried using this on one Sunday morning, and after about 2 hours, my face looked dewy. It was suppose to make my face matte. So, maybe thats not quite true, at least for my skin. The reason why i do not use toner in the morning is because, i do not want to dry out my face. And i do not want to feel those burning sensation on me. So i skipped it. And use more moisturiser as a substitute.  But as a toner, it does its job removing all the dirt off my face and maybe those burning sensation is the process of tightening my huge pores. :)

Overall, i am happy with these two products. I will keep using them until i spot any flaws, then i will let you girls know yah ? :)

I am sorry this post came in late. I was super busy. Last week i just started school and i need to submit my group assignment in 3 weeks time. Its crazy! Group meeting here and there, classes and social life kicking in and family...ohh its just BERSERK! Also, been organizing the meet and greet which went smooth and such success.That i will post it up right after this one.

So much for the ramblings, i had a wonderful month of July. I would name it Hauling July. I have been hauling non stop! From bodyshop to mac to drugstore to sales to onlines...oh my i am gong crazy. I really am stopping hauling or shall i say pausing it in the month of August for better savings accumulated for MAC collection in october and november. So there are so many new products i have yet to try and review, my favs are very very limited. Here they are:

 1) Bodyshop Tea tree Skin Clearing Face Wash: There are two kinds of facial cleansers. The foamy one and this liquid-like wash. The one i have is much more stronger and concentrated. So i needed something stronger for my oily face. This is a very refreshing wash. It does keep my face so fresh and matte. Loves it. Reviews coming up soon! :)

2) Bodyshop Tea tree Skin Clearing Toner: The smell is very strong. Smells like some oil medication supposingly for burns or cuts. haha! But this is great. I feel a stinging sensation for 5 secs after using this. But it does great for my face. Reviews will be up soon too ya :)

3) MAC Woodwinked Eyeshadow: I LOVE! LOVE this eyeshadow. I find myself reaching for this every morning. Just an overall colour. It is a nice bronzey but not too obvious kind of colour. Great for everyday. And super duper pigmented which makes application so easy and SPEEDY! 

4) Chanel Glossimer in Nebula, 122: This gloss not only is so pretty form its packaging. Quality is great. Long lasting. Also, it isnt sticky like MAC lipglass does. It feels like i am not wearing any gloss. Wearable on its own or i always layer it on top of Brave New Bronze.

5) MAC Spiced Chocolate Quad: I always seem to grab this for days where i need make up on. I ALWAYS uses this palette. I find that these colours really suit me and my personality. Bright orange with a subtle dark brown to contour my eyes. Whatever colour i use, i seem to always make use of this palette. So great buy! 

6) MAC NW25 MoistureCover Concealer: It goes with its name, MoistureCover. Not only it covers dark circles and blemishes so well, it moisturizes the skin. Not visibily but i never ever ever EVER had any shifting of concealer, white under eye circles and cakey-ness. Its just PER-FECT!

7) MAC Plum Dressing Eyeshadow: This is hands down the most prettiest eyeshadow i have owned. I feel pretty when i wear this colour, even if it means a tiny amount of the colour. It is me. Purple. Can go smokey or even add on to some neutral looks. LOVE IT!

I as at Body Shop today just because the scent was luring me to go in the store. And there was the whole tea tree skincare collection at the from of the store. Earlier I read roseanne's blog talking about her haul with the tea tree collection and i did not even thought of getting it. Until, when i was there, i was more educated by the sales assist in regards to what it can do to help fight the bacteria and also keep your face matte. This is a great product especially to oily face people. I am not a big fan of body shop facial cleansers to begin with because when my sister bought the whole set of the pink range they had in stores a while ago, and her face reacted in such a bad state! So, i was swearing by not to use any body shop products for my skincare regime. 

So, I tried to push my luck ad break my rules, and caved in to the tea tree facial cleanser and tonner. It is a great bargain! Yes, who can surpass great bargains? It consist of a $21.90, toner and a $19.80, facial cleanser. And there was a promo to get both of them only at $29.80. So, great cost saved! There are two different cleanser. One of it was the foamy cleanser which is a bit more mild then the liquid i bought. The one which i have is a much concentrated and stronger formula to matify your face and prevent and cleanse away all tough bacteria on your face. Oily face attracts more bacteria then dry skin. So yeah~

I also got a blush! SO many people (friends, mom, MAC sales assist, MUA) tell me to get a peachy blush. So, I was about to get MAC spring sheen on my next pay, until i saw this blush! I swatched it with my fingers, and it is so pigmented! I thought the colour was light for me. But when i apply it, its a nice flush of coral-peachy with shimmers to give a nice glow! Instantly i new i gotta have it. I do not have any body shop cosmetics to date. But i am always trying other brands and vary my choices. So, I really am very excited to try it out! If you wanna review on it. Let me know ok! It cost $22.90! And yes, with a purchase above $50 you get a membership card for FREE! Yey!

This was given to me by a colleague, Rachael because she don't like this brush anymore. So, i took thinking that I could use this for touching up. So, after washing it, which takes quite a long time to dry, I used this for my blot powder. My take:

This brush is a synthetic brush with long and soft bristles. It does its job as a on the go brush. But i do not like this. The reason why is because, the brush are too packed together, they barely move. The long bristles makes it harder to swirl on your face. It will only move together throughout your whole face which leades me streaks on my face. Can you imagine, streaky powder? Its aweful! I tried lightly brush over my face and it annoys me that the bristles move together as if you are slapping a carrot on your face. It is stiff and does not spread the powder equally. I thought maybe this is a blush brush, and me using it as a powder brush defeat its purpose. When I apply blush, my blush is very concentrated on one area of my cheek that it does not blend well at all. Very dissapointing brus. The only pros about this product is that the bristles are really soft and its handy for travellng.

Would I buy this again? No. Never.

Its the summer collection! It looks abit like urban decay's individual eyeshadow. I heard great things about these on Youtube. But when I see and swatched it for myself, I was not convinced. The pigmentation is ok for me. Im not wowed. Something I can actually walk away from. The prices are from $23 and above. Go down and see for yourself and let me know what you think about this collection ok?
