I have been getting alot of questions from you guys how to loose weight and how do i start and more. These are the most FREQUENTLY asked questions, answered.

When and why do I want to loose weight?

It was 7th May 2012. Little did i know it was the commitment i made for a lifetime. I was having problem climbing up stairs on a daily basis. I sweat and pant everytime i walked together with my colleagues to and fro from lunch. I seem to have trouble lifting myself up when i hopped on Adib's bike. I get very tired easily even when i was shopping. Walking seemed to be the last thing i want to do. And when i saw my photos after a trip to Sibu Island, i realized i grew out of proportion. I literally said "WOAW!" when i saw my pictures. I was not happy. I began to feel scared when i had to purchase a size 20 pants. I was not happy about it too.

So if you can see, i was not happy about my health, my body but i was not uncomfortable either. I still do love myself and thats the reason WHY i started to do something about it.

How do I start and where?

I went to a 1-week trial over at Amore early last year and I fell in love with the place at Jurong point. The classes were amazing! It was fun, interactive and i like the environment and the showers too! haha! HOWEVER, i cannot afford (in all honesty) the fees that befall upon me. SO, i told myself there have got to be another way. Until I watch this video which is the FIRST VIDEO which inspires THE HELL out of me. Watch it:)

I began to buy home trainer videos and dance with it. I always loved to dance, move and shake my body, so i bought exactly what i loved to do. Aerobic and dancing videos to get me going. I get sick of things pretty easily thats where i watched Youtube videos. Youtube is such a great help for me. I watched and switched many many fitness videos to cater to my regime. Its wonderful. You can find fitness training videos, motivational videos and normal people doing VLOGS about their wieghtloss journey. It is such a HUGE society in youtube. And i thought the beauty society was big~

I began to read alot of fitness magazines, websites to educate and motivate myself. I read that all you need is 150 minutes a week to exercise and you will stay fit. That is if you commit to it religiously.

How much did I loose to date?
This is definitely a shocker. Yes i lost a total of 17-18kg after 8 months. That is about minimum of 2 kg per month. I am not going to tell you its going to be easy. Its alot of sweat, determination, self-motivation (you have got to find what works for you), muscle pains and aches and time. You must be mentally prepared and ready to change your lifestyle.

Through the months, I was experiencing weight plateau for a good 4 months which was EXTREMELY frustrating, i sprained my shoulder for a week due to weight lifting (includes my body too), I can't even open my own shirt nor bra, my ankle were swollen (NOTE to beginners, please wear and ankle guard during exercise so that you won't hurt your foot) and more. It was these pains that reminds me not to give up. Yes it is frustrating because I had to go through so much but it was worth it when I saw what it did to my body.

I'm about to start a session at a gym tomorrow, and it's so timely to see your post tonight! I myself am overweight from young and I'm a UK16 now after gorging myself with food during exam periods due to stress. I hardly step out of the house and I know that this year I wanna change my lifestyle because I want to be healthier. What motivates me? Like you, I found youtube videos online that really helped. Here's what really got me moving (for 1 day only actually haha): http://www.youtube.com/user/TiffanyRotheWorkouts and http://www.youtube.com/user/blogilates

It's also very disheartening when I see such beautiful clothes on blogshops and know that I shouldn't even bother thinking about getting them because of my UK16 frame. Those clothes are gonna motivate me like no other (;

So glad that things have worked out for you, and thank you for further inspiring me to start moving towards my goals!

(oops sorry I didn't mean to type this long :/)

Thank you for this giveaway!

What motivates me is the feeling of immense confidence I get whenever I can fit into clothes and look good in it! Plus, I study about food and nutrition and learning about the importance of health makes me realize that I shouldn't take my health for granted just because I look "fit" enough.

what inspires me to lose weight is when i started working, and sitting in the office all day long, i realise its not healthy at all. therefore, i have embarked on a yoga journey every lunchtime to do something for myself and my body.

my baby (still in my stomach) inspires me to exercise! I've heard from friends that if I want to have a smooth & natural delivery, I should keep exercising until the day I pop! Hence, I've started going swimming once a week in my second trimester and I intend to do so until I give birth! Thanks for the giveaway... Keep exercising! Smiling

My dear colleague is my motivation to lose weight. She is a mummy of 2, and still looks fantastic! I see her at work everyday and she inspires me to get that ideal weight and figure!

I brisk walk to the bus stop every morning and enjoy the morning breeze. It's a great way to have a positive start to the day. And I brisk walk in the evening to end my day.

If a mummy of two can maintain her weight, so can I! Smiling

Good luck to you! All the hardwork is going to pay off well Eye-wink

What motivates me to keep fit is the fact that I work in a retail store and whenever its time to get our uniforms (which is from the store itself), I find it hard to "fit" into the styles as I am a bigger size. All the clothes seem to look nicer on my smaller colleagues.

With some push from my boyfriend, I jog whenever I can and do static exercises as well through Nike Training Club. To date, I have lost about 7kg in 4 months. Smiling

(Also, you motivate me in a way coz I always tell myself, "If she can do it, why not me?")

Thank you, Diana. Smiling
