**UPDATED** When Diana reveals the FAKE MAC products.

May24

Now, before I show you all the images, do not judge me. I bought them way before I am into MAC. I don't intend to promote fake mac in anyway. I have to considerably think whether I should post this up or not. But I am willing to take the risk, and show my readers what are Fakes Mac product all about? And How do they look like? And whether they are any good. I know alot of you might say, oh how could you buy them when you don't know what is made of them and that it might break you out and so on. But, comes to think of it. What is in the cheap products which you bought online? What mkes the colour so pigmented? What is in it? Nobody could really answer. So am I.

Where did i get them? I went to Bangkok last november with my bf and my bestie n her beau. We were walking around until we stumble a big huge boutique of MAC products. So as we went in, we saw products which are similar to the original ones we ASSUME MAC had. We were not beauty junkies then. I don't even know how MAC products ranges look like. So, we got a few products. I got the most because I knew that I was always browsing through the glass window at Tangs and never dared to go in. So, I got some for mom and sister. My bf wanted to take a picture of us because he saw my face was glowing, but the stallholder said "NO PICTURES PLEASE!". I got shocked. And they are CRAZILY CHEAP! The blush is SGD$4!

When I came back home, i did my research. And I read in a forum, some of the tourist from other countries bought these products too and they claimed that it works just as well as the original ones! Some, even dare to buy the liquid foundations. I didnt because I knew my skin wouldn't take it. So, I tried my stuffies. And I have to say some of the products are really good! There are no side effects. Thank God. And they are no bad smells or odour coming from them.

I am aware alot of people are selling these online and ebay. I recommend that you do not buy from them, otherwise you will only support their illegal business. Because now, as a MAC buyer and addict, I didnt even use these products just because I think it is unfair to the MAC company. The products are just major rip off if you can see. But do treat this as a learning and educational journey(which i did) through MAC products yes? So, here are the pics on what I have purchased.

Wow they look very pigmented but be careful with the eyeshadow and pigment ya? Cos I heard that sometimes fake MAC consists of lead which is very harmful to the eyes.

It's good that you din use them. Cos it might be harmful to ur eyes.
I think the blush is not that bad... cos the most is breakouts. Sticking out tongue

Hm, the pay off really isn't that bad, but the texture looks gross. It's sad that people sell these to unknowing girls who normally cannot afford MAC.

This has me wondering because at a local outlet center there's a cosmetic store that carries MAC products (as well as many other cosmetic counter lines) but for usually a couple dollars cheaper-which is odd. For that price, it must be a fake then, especially since the lipglosses I did buy are from the two lines listed (Heatherette and the lime green one next to it).

I think the brushes maybe useable but definitely throw out the fake powders and stuff, they look way nasty! I have seen fake mac stuff on sale at a pasar malam (night market stall) in the neighbourhood before, they also have some fake looking Anna Sui and Clinque products. Really tacky. And last year when I was at the Portobello market in London, I saw Fake MAC stuff too, even the liquid foundations. Those look quite real. And the pigments, blusher etc etc.

I am sick and tired of people talking smack about fake Mac makeup!!!! I mean I personally don't think there is anything wrong with them. To be specific what they are made of and what the makeup actually contains in them. I do believe it is Wrong to use their brand name (MAC) but, they only do this because they know that it is the makeup that every girl wants and it is "IN". If there was something wrong with the makeup, we would have an epidemic of sick woman by now. These products are all over the world now and til this day I have not heard of ONE person, that has been affected or disfigured because of the use of these specific products. I personally bought these products, ( also not knowing they were fake) used them and I have NOT had any reaction. I love the eyeshadow colors. They work great and I will continue to use them since I bought lots of them. I am not writing all of this just to make me feel better because I bought fake stuff but, because it bothers me that some people are all about Name Brand things or act all scared like if it was the end of the world. There are WORST things that people use to put in their bodies for example drugs and we are not getting scared about that. But yet there is a fake makeup product and we all want to save the world from this. I am NOT cheap because I LOVE makeup and have lots of the expensive stuff but it is all the same to me. Of course some work better than others. I am also not trying to promote fake illegal stuff but, I am just telling it like it is. It is FAKE!!! It is OUT THERE and it is SELLING!!!! Thank you for your time.

wow, i didnt know there was a fake mac! haha. awesome. but yeah, i have to disagree with you on this one. as long as the make up works and dont cause me breakouts, i might just as well cont on with it (: cause, obviously MAC overcharge their products and if someone can formulate it for a fraction of the prize, why not?! elf is cheap, and it is safe. so that just prove's a point. i agree that it is wrong to use mac's brand name tho. they should like rebrand themselves and called it MAD instead or smth else. hee.

I am a religious MAC user & a MUA friend of mine introduced me to replica MAC on myspace. myspace.com/makeupshop The girl that sells it is a sweetheart & the quality is nearly identical to the real thing. But I hear there are some cheap fakes & some really good ones. This girl has over like 70 feedback in her blog. I wouldn't knock it... if you guys didn't know, there is lead in some of the most expensive cosmetics... including DIOR.

Lead in Lipstick

Lead in lipstick? Turns out, the ur ban legend is true. In October 2007, the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics tested 33 popular brands of lipsticks at an independent lab for lead content.

The results: 61 percent of lipsticks contained lead, with levels ranging up to 0.65 parts per million. Lead-contaminated brands included L'Oreal, Cover Girl and even a $24 tube of Dior Addict.

Do your research. I agree with Anonymous... people would be dying everywhere. I love my fake MAC, you can get 3 pigments for $25, that's a steal!!

I bought several Fake mac items before I knew there was fakes And then I found out.. they were fake..I threw the blushes out..my actually were horrible..they didnt break me out but the colors wouldnt show up at all!...I got 60 pigments for under 100 dollars.. and although I do NOT intend to Re buy any fake mac I think I will continue using the pigments til they are gone... to me their such great colors and not only is it more expensive to buy mac so many colors are limited edition so you cant even find them anymore... BUT the downside is I have tried 3 methods of trying to press them and THE FAKE WONT PRESS..at least not for me...

But i do not know abt the pressings as i have not tried it myself. However, the blushes were great. But yeah, thanks again for sharing:)

Hi, i just receive the FAKE mac products from a seller who is MY FRIEND in australia. sadly i've given out second order when i just realize they are fakes ! Im aware of this brand but never really willing to spend so much on it back in singapore, so when my friend offer me with a reason that they're selling cheap because of miscpacking i just believe and bought so much! & yet my friend still insist that it's good and that everyone is still using w/o any complaint. iT'S sad! i'd still use those i've bought coz i've spend almost sgd400 on those fake mac!! but next time, i'd rather use my biotherm range or a maybeline rather than believe such an offer ~_~
SADDD....

Jean Goh: OH MY GOD!!! What friend is that? Don't mind me. I apologize if that came off rude, but its just not right. $400?!!!! on FAKES? oh that must be devastating. I rather both of us head down to ck tang MAC and splurge $400 and you will get more than 10 products at least...omy my dear, poor you. DO NOT CONTACT WITH HER ANYMORE. Shes just out to get your money.

But on the other hand, the fake products are not as bad. They work really well and it does not break me out. The other commentators did add in that it works for them. I know i emphasize about what works for you, use it. But we are talking about $400 for FAKE MAC here! It is a rip off! At least you learnt your lesson huh Smiling

I went to Batam few months back and there were the little shops in the malls that sold fake MAC. I couldn't resist laughing when I saw a stick concealer in the packaging of the Hello Kitty lipstick. Hahaha!

Fake MAC had always been a hot topic. Thanks for the interesting post..very informational. I just came back from KL, and there were fake "MAC" selling at Pasar Malams, even Maybelline and Revlon!
I live on this principle, "if you can't afford the real thing, don't buy fakes. Save up and buy authentics". I will feel so paise if I were caught touching up my makeup in the ladies with a fake MAC.
Anyways, whats wrong with Anonymous? So angry for whaaat? HurHur!
